The Instructional Chalkboard is a diagramming tool for coaches, captains and individual players. You can use the
Chalkboard for creating and illustrating strategy, tactics, and court positioning, as well as creating and illustrating
lessons and drills. Creating a lesson is a simple three step process.
Step 1: Create your drawing
To create your drawing simply move the players to the desired position and use the controls to draw whatever shapes you desire. Click here for more complete instructions on how to use the TennisOne Chalkboard to draw the picture you desire.
Step 2: Write the instructions
To enter instructions just click in the Instructions box and type away!
The title of the instruction box can also be edited, which is a convenient way to provide a short description of the lesson. To edit the title, just click on the word "Instructions" and change the title to whatever you'd like.
Step 3: Print or Save your lesson
Once your drawing and instructions are complete you can either print them or capture the screen image to save a copy for later reference. The colors for the court image were chosen specifically to work with either a color or a black-and-white printer. The circles representing the players are both color coded and contain a number for to be both printer-friendly and easily referred to in your instructions.
To save a copy of the lesson scroll your screen so the image you want is displayed and then hold down the Alt key on your computer while you press the Print Screen button. Now you can open up Microsoft Word, Paint, or any other application and paste the image into a new document.
Alternatively you can use any of the freeware or commercial screen capture utilites. Click here for an article that compares several commerical screen capture utilities.
