Powerful, Cool Technology
Today we're introducing new cool (we think) functionality that is free to both TennisOne members and eTennisTeam members. In keeping with TennisOne's history of pushing the technology envelope, we're introducing what is, to the best of our knowledge, the first virtual tennis-web drawing tool. Just as you've seen basketball and football players huddled around their coach as the coach draws up plays on a chalkboard, we now give you the ability to do the same thing with the TennisOne Instructional Chalkboard.
TennisOne Instructional Chalkboard
The Instructional Chalkboard is a web-based diagramming tool for coaches, captains and individual players. You can use the Chalkboard for creating web drawings of tennis strategy, tactics, and court positioning, as well as creating and illustrating lessons and drills. After you draw your lesson or drill, you can write and edit instructions in the text box below.
Once complete, you can save your drawing to your computer (through a variety of means) or simply print what you've created off the Web and share it with your students or fellow players. This is a tool that everyone must experience, so we're making it available to all for a 10 day free trial to non-members.

New Functionality for eTennisTeam
We're constantly adding functionality to our eTennisTeam tool, the new, web-based tool for managing and coordinating tennis teams. Anyone can register their tennis team as an eTennisTeam and immediately start putting the system to use to improve your team and team experience. It costs only $25 for the entire team to use, and you don't have to be a TennisOne member to register a team or participate as a team player.

Printing Scoresheets
One of the many ways eTennisTeam is different (and better) than using traditional email and a spreadsheet is exemplified by this new functionality we've added: the ability to print scoresheets once the captain/coach has created a line-up.

Tracking Players Results
As the captain/coach enters the results from the team's matches, each singles player and each doubles team's results are automatically compiled.

There are several other new improvements to our eTennisTeam system, so save yourself a lot of effort and thrill your team by signing up today for eTennisTeam.
Only $25 Per Team
The captain and all team members can use the system for an entire year for only $25.

How To Do The Dance
In doubles, one of the essentials skills of playing the net effectively has to do with subtle shifts in positioning between neutral, defensive, and offensive positions during each point. Too many net players remain essentially motionless throughout a rally. Ken DeHart, USPTA and PTR Master Professional presents a drill designed to train the net person how to become a more effective net player via continuous movement between defensive, neutral, and offensive positions. in effect - learn to do the dance!
Seven Doubles Principles for USTA League Players
In this series written specifically for league tennis players, David Brouwer outlines the principles of high-percentage play which is the foundation for success. In this article he talks about one of the basic concepts of winning doubles, the principle of Deep to Deep/Close to Close. Simply put, if you're the player who is deepest in the court, hit to the opponent who is deepest in the court and if you're the player who is closest to net, hit to the opponent who is closest to the net.
